about

This is a charity release for the Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants. All the money raised from it will be donated to them, and I make absolutely no profit from this. You can own it for anything above a pound, but if you're feeling generous, the more the better, particularly since Bandcamp will take a cut for their own fees.

The JCWI exists to campaign for justice in immigration, nationality and refugee law and policy. They provide legal advice, publish guides and handbooks, do media work, and offer training. They are completely independent and do not accept government funding for the work they do. You can read more about them here (www.jcwi.org.uk).

See individual tracks for more information about the songs.

Track Name: European Summer
Left us to stasis
Powers that be
Raised all the borders
Bound by the sea

You promised us a European summer
You promised us a future gone astray
You promised us a European summer
You promised us the world was ours today

Cut back the ladder
Said we'd advance
Drop out the anchor
No real chance

You promised us a European summer
You promised us a land we can't repair
You promised us a European summer
You promised us the world was ours to share
